Woodland Park was incorporated in 1891, after becoming established as a resort town and business center for the surrounding area. Saw milling began the primary business in the area, where logs were cut for the nearby gold mine railroads. Today, tourism is the main economy booster.
With such phenomenal weather and breathtaking surroundings, outdoor recreation options are endless. A wide selection of campgrounds, cabins, and RV parks can accommodate every adventure lover.
